My gyno found a lump about 6 months ago and I went and had an ultrasound and mammogram. The said it was not cancerous and was just a cyst. I am 30 and my biological mother died of breast cancer at 49. Does anyone have a cyst that causes them chest pain and that runs to the arm? Advice

They found a cyst when I went for my mammogram & US about 2weeks ago. I don't feel any pain though. Are you having anxiety issues over this? Maybe call your doctor and let him/her know.
Whether you can or you can't, you're right.

Delphy,

I've had fibrocystic breasts since I was 14, and both breasts contained lumps that were changing and painful, and yes, for me, sometimes they would hurt to touch and the pain and/or pressure from their swelling would extend into my arm pit region.

I have been diagnosed with "extensive fibrocystic changes" and right now am having pain in my chest, armpit, and down my arm and even into my back shoulder blade. I am concerned b/c the pain is pretty severe, but I've had CBEs by both an integrative practitioner (my regular doc) and a breast surgeon, as well as ultrasound and thermography. I am 30 years old, and have just finished a very rigorous grad degree while also teaching full time, and I believe stress and overconsumption of caffeine for 5-10 years have done this to me. Starting a no-caffeine phase (on day 12 currently), and continuing to clean up my diet and exercise more, as well as on progesterone theraphy, iodine, vit. D., other supplements, and a Chinese med. combo called "Resolve Internal Fire." My doc wants another thermography in 2 months to follow up--hoping for the best.

Hi Mary, can you describe your pain in detail to me? Is it just in your breasts or do you experience it in a band around your torso as well? My pain is pretty severe, a very burning, aching pain which makes sitting upright in an office chair pretty unpleasant.

I started having this stinging, burning like pain in my breast under the nipple that goes to the inside of my breast. It is a random pain. I went to the gynecologist during my spring break and had a mammogram and ultrasound done. The diagnosis was a cyst under my nipple. I did not have it last summer when I had my annual mammo done. The doc suggested vitamin E 800 mg. which I have been taking, but really don't feel improvement. She also suggested they could refer me to a breast surgeon who could drain the cyst. She said it would be uncomfortable since they would go through the nipple! I am holding off and hoping it goes down on it's own. I would say my pain is a level 1 to 3 and I feel it every day for the past 3 months. I found this information and am considering trying some suggestion. http://www.ketogenic-diet-menu.com/2016/09/cysts-in-breasts.html
