After ALLLLLLL that, my brother never even lost power or phones. He is 20 miles from Galveston, and in hindsight, was very lucky that he chose to stay and ride it out. My parents are whizzing home at the clipping speed of 10 mph, which is better than what they did on Thursday. Hopefully that improves when they get past this town they are in now.
Thanks all for the prayers and good thoughts. Looks like the folks in the eastern part of Texas and western Louisiana got hit hard and still need our prayers....and also for New Orleans....

It was good that the hurricane missed the heavily populated area of Galveston and Houston, but those people around the TX-LA border sure got hit hard. I think the water and rain was even worse for them. This season has really been a rough one, I hope we see no more. Definitely keep the prayers flowing for all those who have had to contend with such misery. Hugs MK
