Birads score is what they give as to what they "think" is showing up on the imaging.
0: Incomplete
1: Negative
2: Benign finding(s)
3: Probably benign
4: Suspicious abnormality
4A: low suspicion for malignancy
4B: intermediate suspicion of malignancy
4C: moderate concern, but not classic for malignancy
5: Highly suggestive of malignancy
6: Known biopsy – proven malignancy
Did they do an ultra sound also or just the mammo? If they didn't do an US they will probably do that next. Do not panic! Imaging can only suggest what it is. Nothing is definite unless they biopsy. I go back Tues. after a 3 month wait for a repeat test. I am Birads 0 right now. I have had two biopsies so far on the same breast. First one showed a thickening-Benign, Second one showed atypical cells on needle biopsy, after surgical biopsy it showed a necrosis -benign. If this is your first time it is a little frightening. Deep down I am a little bit concerned. Just remember it's nothing until surgical path says it's something.

I myself had a biopsy and it ended up being benign but just something to watch and make sure it doesn't grow or it would need to be removed. Just a fibrous adenoma. The biopsy itself was not too bad, they numb you up real good. Good luck. Let us know how it goes and try not to worry. I know easier said then done.
