Gosh, I think about you all at least 10 times a day.  Things have been so hectic.  DH and I finally got to celebrate our 30th anniversary in Sept., even though it actually was last Feb. 1.  We went to Hawaii, BEEautiful!
We had a big water disaster in our house, so that took up quite a bit of time.  We're in the repair stage.  Can you believe it?  Only the Lewisohns could have water problems in the desert.  But, it's manageable, insurance covers it and the builder has been very cooperative.  It's fixable, doesn't involve the loss of life so how awful can it be, right????
We're in the middle of the Jewish High Holydays, Rosh Hashanah last week, Yom Kippur begins this Wednesday, so once again I'm cooking, baking and having the family over for meals.
Going to NY in Nov. for scans and a visit with my onc.  I am NEVER giving him up.  On the last Thurs. in September I went to a brunch.  The guest speaker was from the Komen affiliate here in LV.  Sit down, my friends, because you're not going to believe what I'm going to tell you:
1.  Nevada has the 4th highest death rate from BC in the nation.
2.  Nevada (read that as LV) is 7 to 10 years behind the rest of the US in dx and tx protocols for BC.
So that means since I was dx'd 7 yrs ago in NY, whatever procedures I had THEN are now just arriving in LV.  Scary, huh???
And that is why I'm never giving up my NY onc.
I know I don't post as much as I should, but you all are always in my thoughts.  Sending you all hugs from here, Luci

Hi Luci-

L'Shana Tova to you and your family....glad you are doing well and happy belated anniversary!

Funny how things are in a different perspective after BC...major flood damage, but all is well...

My friend had flooding from a toilet in his 2nd floor and got a great new kitchen and upgrade in his first floor, hope you get all you want too!

Luci, so good to hear from you. I have been right on the edge of picking up the phone and calling to see what you were up to. Sorry about the water disaster, but if it is fixable and covered by insurance -- life will get back to normal. Belated anniverary wishes to you and Barry. Hawaii, huh? Sounds pretty nice. :-) Hugs, Lauri

Hawaii????? AND a water diaster? And you think that's a good excuse for deserting us? Not a post, not an answer to another post, nothing from you until we think we are going to have to send out the internet police, and then you pop up!!

Congratulations on your anniversary and your trip to Hawaii. I love Hawaii. And, a water diaster that is all repairable is just fine.

I don't blame you one little bit on not wanting to give up your NY doctors. I am 50 - 60 miles away from my doctors and I drive. I'm not giving up mine either. The closest place to me is the one that gave me the infection and an 8-day hospital stay.

It's good to see your posts from NV. Don't be gone so long next time, ok?

Love, Jo-Ann

I thought of you often, Luci and I hoped you were having such a busy life you didn't have time to post. LOL. I know you have a grandbaby near by. And the quilting..... but I never thought about a trip to Hawaii. Aren't you the lucky one? All I can do is read about the place and imagine. Take care and stay well. Love MK
