confused  Just got back from onc.  Told him that apparently we are in recurrence . . oh wait . . did it ever leave??  I've been just on Herceptin since leaving Abraxane in June and a try with Tarceva in August.  I'm now back to Xeloda tonight and Abraxane next week.  Took Herceptin 300+ today.
Did I say this is getting old???

Your ability to even get out of bed each day is amazing to me -- after all you've been through. You are a fighter and, by golly, you've gotten quite good at it. You are an inspiration to me and I only wish you could get the break you so deserve.
Will keep you in my thoughts & prayers.

Jackie, so sorry for this new setback. I'm right behind ya in the rucurrence dept. Good luck with the xeloda. Have you done this one before? I found xeloda pretty easy. I did not get any of the diarrhea associated with it. I also found abraxane easy. Unfortunately these didnt work for me. I do taxol/gemzar now and I think we are going to add Avastin if the insurance company will pay for it. I find out Friday.
Sending good thoughts your way.

Jackie: I am so sorry to hear your news. I know how you feel. It's not fair but you can beat this. I am on herceptin and navelbine weekly and have been for 2 yrs now. The other treatments you are talking about I haven't had. I know how you feel about your hair but maybe you won't lose it all this time.

Lots of prayers and gentle hugs...Deb

Dear Jackie...Wish you had better news to share with us. You have been through this so many times, and yet you just keep putting one foot in front of the other and keep marching. I know this can't be easy for you, but you make it look so easy! Today is 11 years since my diagnosis without a recurrence. I feel so blessed and so guilty at the same time, as I've watched friends and loved ones bear the unbearable weight of this disease.

Keep marching, dear Bandlady!

Love and hugs...

Awww, Jackie. So sorry you are going through this again. There is a reason you are our "oddsbeater," so don't forget that. We are pulling for you. Sending prayers and hugs, Lauri

I hear ya.  I'm sorry you're in a low point.  I hope you're getting lots of loving.  You're loved here!  I admire your tenacity.  Please keep posting.

Jackie, I have always ranked you right up at the top of my breast friends because of your ability to keep on keepin' on. I know you have had a VERY rough time, not only because of BC but because of family losses, etc. We are all here anytime you need us, prayers will be coming your way and many, many hugs, MK

You are a top oddsbeater to me too! I can not imagine how you have managed to teach and go to school at the same time. Having been a teacher I know what I am saying. You are absolutely amazing. I know just what you are thinking though. You are thinking I don't want to be amazing, just normal. I've been there. I wish I could make you well. If I only could. You can do this, I know. I'm glad you are still getting the Herceptin. Have you heard anything about the new drug, Lapatanid?
Maybe that is the one we have all been waiting for. I pray that it is.
Keep in touch. You are always in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs, Di
