I see that you posted to Jackie (oddsbeater/bandlady) that today is the 11th anniversary of your diagnoses. I think that is just great! We need occasions to celebrate. We need to know that there are good news stories out there. Bless you for showing others that there are sucess and survival stories on the cancer journey. Happy hugs, Lauri

I do, indeed, plan to keep racking up the years. And MK, I am loving my new home. I have to live a good long while so I can actually retire here! It isn't loving my oldest mutt, Hershey, though. He is just thrilled with the woods and the creek to wander, but, as the vet put it, "He should be a porch dog." He has severe hip dysplasia, and his arthritis is really flaring up. Looks like we're going to be facing a surgery soon. He insists on getting out and hobbling around out there, and it breaks my heart that what I thought would be good for all of us has turned out to be bad for him.
And Lauri, you have a keen eye, picking up that little detail in my post to Jackie.  Our Susan and I shared that anniversary, so it is always a bit of a sad day as well as a happy one for me.
Thanks to all for the kind sentiments..
Love and hugs...
