I post on the prostate cancer site as my husband has PCa.

Now I have referred my friend to this site who has survived breast cancer 6-7 years ago.

She had another lumpectomy today but was told breast lump is not cancer.

She had pet scan a couple of weeks ago as she was having pain in her extremities and found there is cancer in her leg and arm and is waiting for the next step as to treatment options.

Has anyone experienced this kind of spread without the breast lump having cancer? Is it necessary or can it be determined if this pain in her extremities is breast cancer spread? Is this important as to treatment option?

Regards,

BOOGEE

Hello Boogee. I am so sorry to read about your friend. In all honesty the questions you have asked she needs to ask the specialist. I think it very much is good news that the lump was not cancerous.

This forum here does not have a moderator & is extremely slow. I am sure you know Pratoman in the PC forum. He saw a post on this front page by a lady named Christine1946. He directed her to a group called inspire.com/groups. I suggest you check that site out for your friend because she can probably find good info there. If this was a busy forum like the PC forum it would be great, however this forum is just too slow.

Take care.
