Tuesday I had surgery for a second, new primary IDC ++-. Wednesday I woke up with Covid symptoms.

Just got Covid test results today and it was positive. I had been thinking it was just a sinus infection, but fever 102 briefly, some chest congestion.

So now I have to delay my followup visit to my surgeon. Tumor margins OK, lymph nodes negative. I had been surprised when my surgeon told me I was a candidate for second lumpectomy after 12 years. Treatment has changed for the better since I had my original surgery. I'm not sure what this will do to my radiation schedule. That treatment has changed also. The tumor is being sent for oncotype, as was the first one, and I'm hoping it will come back no chemo.
