Well, today has been 6 weeks since the Tram Flap and I will be going back to work next week.  I probably could have started this week, but PS and I decided next week would be better.  I still have the open wound that I have to pack twice a day.  I am just wondering how long this is going to take to heal.  I see him again next Tuesday, so I'm anxious to see what he says about it.  It doesn't look any different to me.  The tingling skin pain has subsided significantly, but is not gone completely.  When I finally got my work release letter, it stated I'm not supposed to lift more than 10 lbs. and no significant strenuous activity for 4 more weeks.  OOPS!  If my PS knew what I've been doing, I'd be in trouble.  tongue
I will be going back to the same temp position I had before.  They did hire someone internally, but she can't start until her position is filled, so I get to go back.  I am so glad.  I went to visit them last Friday and show off my flat tummy and new booby and they wanted to put me to work right then and there!  LOL  They miss me a lot.
Yesterday was my 46th birthday!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!  yeah Next month will be a year since finishing chemo.  It's really hard to believe.  Time has gone so fast.  I started my next class last week - Anatomy.  It is hard.  It's going to be tough when I go back to work.  But, I can do it.
My PS is so sweet.  He sent me a card thanking me for having confidence in his abilities.  He said it's been a joy to take care of me during a difficult time.  Isn't that nice?
Well, that's enough for now.

This is my return to college.  I already have a BA.  This time around is because of BC really.  I was inspired by my radiation therapist to become one myself.  I'm getting the pre-req classes out of the way and hopefully will enter a rad tech program next year.  I have a long road ahead!

You'll ace anatomy now, since you're interested in the subject! Take care of that open wound, we don't want you getting any infections!!
