Hi, hope you are all doing well.  My mother in law was told that she would have her surgery in 2-3 weeks.   Now the surgeon tells her surgery will be in aprox the 2nd or 3rd week of April.   That's about a month and a half wait since she first seen him.
Secondly, the nurse asked if she had her bone scan and CT scan yet?  My MIL didn't know anything about it?  Is it normal procedure to be having these type of tests done prior to surgery?  After phoning, the doctor's office got her booked for a bone scan on Tuesday.  Please say a prayer for her.

I dont know if it is "normal" procedure to have tests first and then surgery, but that is what happened with me. The reason was that it is much easier to go through the scans and such if you are not recuperating from surgery. And if there isnt a problem, well then you have a bunch of baseline results, which is never a bad thing. I hope everything goes well for your DMIL.

Thank you Chantry, your explanation makes sense. Thanks for the well wishes for my MIL. All the best to you also.
