May was a year ago when I found my lump and had a mammogram. After surgery, rads and chemo I am to get mammos every 6 months for the next 2 years. In November I had a mammo only on the infected breast. The other day I had both. The nurse came in 2 more times to get different pics of my infected breast. I was sitting in the room waiting for the results on the verge of tears. All I could think about what if they find something again? I don't know if I could go through all this again. Well, it turned out to be ok. But it was really scary for me as I did not handle all this very well from the get go.

It really makes me angry that the techs aren't more considerate. Kat, I have had that happen also and it is very frightening. I am glad that everything turned out to be fine. Maybe you should call the hospital or clinic where you had the mammo done and let them know how you felt. I had my ribs xrayed again on Tues and the results weren't at my drs by that afternoon. So I called the hospital on Wed morning and the gal asked me for my drs fax number. Excuseeee meeeee? I am suppose to have this info????? I was so hacked (because I had asked to see the xrays on Tues and they refused to let me) that I called the administrator of the hospital. Not only were my results at my drs office w/in 10 mins but I also received a call from the gal w/ an apology. Why don't these people stop and think how they would feel if it was them sitting and waiting?????

Again, glad to know that you are ok!
