Well ladies, sorry to waste fuel on the PCE, but my surgery was cancelled.  I was in the pre-op area (a new one at my hospital) and had the IV in, all ready to go.  My PS called - not a good sign.  As you know, he's on crutches because he broke his ankle a few weeks ago.  Well, he fell a couple of days ago and hurt his right thumb.  I guess he thought it would be OK, but he told me he did 2 procedures yesterday and today he can't move the thumb.  I think we'll just wait until he's 100%.  I was concerned about the crutches anyway.  Now, it puts a major kink in my future plans.  So, I continue lopsided and nipple-less.  LOL  I will keep you posted.

Kathy, sounds like a good idea postponing surgery.  Bad enough doc is on crutches ... then he injures thumb.  Nothing wrong with waiting for 100%... you're worth it.

Kathy, sorry your surgery was cancelled...but at least he practiced on a couple of patients before he got to you! My plastic surgeon (he's retired the good life in Hilton Head, so something like that) was this big lanky guy...a total klutz when it involved gross motor skills, but his fine motor skills were another story. I thought it was so funny. Anyway, hope he recuperates well and you have beautiful results soon.

You can't make this stuff up.  Well, I guess it wasn't meant to be yet.  There must be a reason.  Keep us posted.

Sorry you have to cope with the delay, but under the circumstances... I think you are wise to wait until the surgeon is 100 percent, too. Hugs, Lauri

I know it was not funny to you, but I got a chuckle out of a plastic surgeon accident prone. Most of the time they are such artists and perfectionists. It may mess up your plans some but better that than having problems from having surgery when the surgeon is hurting or possibly carrying infection in that thumb????? I know they glove and double glove if there is a reason, but gloves can be pricked so easily. Relax and breathe deeply and consider the what ifs. Hugs MK
