My godson's mother is getting remarried tomorrow evening in Vegas, so we are driving there tomorrow morning.  My godson just turned 16 and he will be giving his mother away.  It should be fun.  DH and I haven't gotten away for over a year.
Then, next Thursday night, we are off to Japan for a week.  I am looking forward to getting away.  Finally the pain is lessening from the surgery.  Again, I am SO surprised at how painful this has been.  I made it through the week at work.  Starting Monday, I am no longer a temp, but a full-fledged Kaiser employee.
I just wanted to share the latest news.

Shocked!!!!!!!!!! I say I am so shocked anyone would fly with someone other than PCE. LOL Have a great time and relax and get as much pamper time as you can. You have earned it. Hugs, Joyce

Have a great time, Kathy. Sounds like you've got some good times in store. Remember, we want a full report when you get back. Hugs, Lauri

Vegas was a nice trip.  We had no traffic either way.  The wedding was very nice.  The reception was a little cramped, but that's OK.  I got to see my friends whole family again and my godson (her son) did a wonderful job giving his mother away.  He just turned 16!!!
DH decided it wasn't that far from our hotel to the Aladdin where the wedding was being held, so we walked.  Let me tell you - it was a BIT farther than we both thought.  Even DH admitted it.  I was in heels and haven't worn shoes like that in a while, so on the way back, I almost thought I wouldn't make it.  I can still feel the affects.
I will report in about Japan when I return.  DH and I are really looking forward to this trip.  Our last trip there was Feb. 2004, just months before I was diagnosed.
I am also happy to report that the pain is much better and I've gone 3 days with no meds.  I see the PS tomorrow for another check up.  I have a bit of an infection under the breast, so we'll see what he says about it.  Meanwhile, I'm just putting antibiotic ointment on it.
By the way, you will all be with me on my trip in spirit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
