and I think it's caused by pink ribbon overload. Or maybe it's the approach of Halloween, and all the ghoul's are out. What's with all the trash??? Hair extensions. Geez, we lost our BREASTS, for gosh sakes, and they think we just can't wait for our hair to get long enough for extensions??? Please!
I don't mean to dismiss the initial trauma of hair loss, but we've all been there and done that and lived through it, some of us more than once. And I think most of us would be happy to live hairless if we could just know that this darned disease wasn't going to get us in the end. And I would have been bald now a pretty long time, but it would have been worth every minute of it, not to have to go through all those tests, time and again, knowing that the phone could ring with bad news at any time. I would have loved JoAnnie's and Peggy's and Mel's and Becky's and Lauren's and Julie's and Rainey's and Shelley's and (the list goes on and on and on)'s little bald heads forever if they could have just stayed with us.
Sorry for the rant. I just couldn't dignify those posts with a direct response, but couldn't ignore them, either. So sad that so many people just don't get it.
Love and hugs,
