Whew boy, I need a vacation!
Thanks everyone for the very sweet words and wishes regarding my recent wedding. It means a lot to me!
The wedding was just beautiful. Mostly it went off well. The best glitch was very memorable though and frankly, it was almost good that it happened. The ceremony is in the atrium of the hotel, very open and full of plants and looks like it it is outdoors. They like for the bride to make a dramatic appearance and come down the glass elevator for everyone to see before walking down the aisle. So I was up on the 4th floor, peering through the glass to see what was happening and waiting for the cue to go. The hotel staff hit 1, and said they would run down the stairs and meet me at the bottom. So I get in, heart beating a mile a minute, "here we go" i say to myself. And guess what? The elevator went UP!  Guess there are 5 floors here and someone goofed! The crowd laughed and I lauged and it was great comic relief for me, and definitely made a great moment to discuss. The rabbi honed right in and incorporated it into the beautiful service.
The flowers were amazing and exeeded my dreams. We had a wonderful time and I hated for it to end.
We had a couple days back at work before leaving that Friday for our Mediterranean Cruise. We left from Barcelona, did 2 stops in France and 3 in Italy. It was just beautiful and we saw things you an only imagine from a postcard. The down side was that we were absolutely exhausted the whole trip. We usually had to get up at 6 and dinner finished at 10:30, so they were very long days. We did not ever get to relax. The last day was at sea, and unfortunately we had terrible weather with a lot of motion and rocking, so it was not a relaxing end. Plus I got a nasty cold which really ran me down. It took a good week of being back to feel like myself, we had a hard time getting over the jet lag.
Our house is still a bit disorganized and we're getting back to reality..
I am looking forward to posting here more often as well, and miss you all. When are we going to get together again?

So glad that things are finally calming down ! The wedding sounds wonderful even with the elevator ride I am so glad you had such a good time at the wedding...So many couples are so stressed that they dont enjoy themselves.

The cruise sounds so nice but very tiring...on most of the cruises I have been on, we ate at the late seating for dinner and finished at 10:30 like you did. Can you believe some people still went to eat at the midnight Buffet !!!.......I have no idea where they put all that food..LOL...Italy and France ...that is SO great..would love to do that ..Sorry you ended up with a cold.

I received your card a few days ago..thanks hon. I will send you my email address. I have an AOL now.

Please take it easy honey.

Love and Hugs

Lori, what would a wedding be without a snafu? My husband and his best man thought they could sneak out for a beer to calm the nerves before the wedding. Best man knocked his beer off in Randy's lap. Looked like he peed his pants and smelled like a brewery. I would like to say it relieved the tension, but I'd be lying! 26 years later it's much funnier to me than it was then.

Glad you're ready to get life back on track, sweetie.

Love and hugs and many happy years to come...
