No matter what your religion, its nice to know here in our little corner of the world we wish everyone a wonderful holiday...what ever one you celebrate. The one sad note as I added my angel to the tree this year...I thought of all our special angels. One of our members made angels and since I received it I think of all our angels when I place it on the tree.  To everyone that has posted their holiday wishes I hope you also have a wonderful holiday.  Another present BC gave me, was it took away the notion I seemed to have lived with.... You know the one where we are all going to be here next year. I have learned to appreciate the change of the seasons and glad to be here to see it. Now every change of season I think of Jo-Ann. I am so thankful for her stories.  Every season brought another story.....Winter is the saga of the heated toilet seat. Every year when it gets cold I  think of Jo-Ann asking how people in the north dealt with the cold when she experienced a cold snap. When she said her toilet seat was so cold when she sat down she forgot what she wanted to do, I think of her when we lose power in the winter.   LOL  Summer is the fire ants, for those of you that missed it I am so sorry you missed this one.  Was it spring that brought the washer and dryer fire story? Fall usually brought gatherings which would herald another story about something stupid we all managed to do.If nothing else the story of the trip with Jo-Ann and MK sharing a ride was worth the trip. Yes MK, even putting up with the Pa. Turnpike.  Here is where I tell you about the hotel in IN. I had been to see one of our members that could not make it, to L. K. and stayed the night at a hotel in IN. They offered me a discount good on any hotel in the mid west. I stood there and told them I had never been to the mid west only flew over it. She looked me right in the eye and said you are in the mid west. Who knew IN. was in the mid west. I picked up my pride off the floor thanked her kindly and left very red faced. Anyone have any stories of their own to share? I think this is a great time of year to do so. Well I have sent my seasons greetings and now I will get my umbrella and see if I can spot any of those flying pigs.... and you all thought it was reindeer.....Who knew Dasher was an oinker..... Love and Hugs and Best of Holiday wishes. Joyce

How wonderful it would be to see Angels where there are only clouds. How sad it would be to see clouds where there are Angels.

Thanks for the smiles, Joyce. Best wishes to you and yours this time of the year, too. Hugs and love, Lauri

Thanks for the memories, Joyce. You want funny stories? We have had a multitude of them this week after moving. As I am writing, Chuck is tearing apart the oven which doesn't seem to want to heat to over 350 degrees. It is LP gas. He is looking to see if something is plugging the air line. I have a 17 pound turkey sitting here that has to be cooked by tomorrow afternoon. I made rolls and cookies and a yeast sweet bread (that you make like a jelly roll with nut filling) today and had a terrible time getting them baked at 350 or less. Hmmmmm why is everyone coming here? Did I ask them to come? No, I won the opportunity to fix dinner by having the biggest dining room for everyone to be able to sit together and eat. Oops did I mention I have not found all my dishes yet? I have service for 16 and right now 9 plates are here and 11 will be eating dinner. Where are the other seven? This is the way it has been most of the week. I have a list of things I know I unpacked and put away here but can't find again. A list for things that are still packed I need to find. And a list of things that still need to be brought from the other house. Today Chuck brought a chair that makes number eleven. It was a dumb idea to make the other house look lived in while it is for sale, wasn't it? LOL. We will make it through December...... isn't that a song? Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas, we are going to, come snow or rain, which is not likely according to the weatherman. Thank goodness this is not Denver. Love and hugs to all and to all a good Christmas. Mary K.
