I'm 22 years old and two weeks ago my left breast has this sharp pain just on the one side.  I had clear discharge and  nipple turned really red and felt like it was on fire.  I did go to the dr. and they did feel lumps. Her words to the other dr. in the room that was taking notes where small moviable multiple lump. So anyway went to have a ultrasound done and they said it was normal. my blood test can back fine and my dr. called and put me on antibiatics and i don't know why she ruled that out. she wants me to see her tuesday and i think i need to push this, but something is not right i'm living with pain. My two year old does not understand why i don't pick her up. i hope someone can help.

You can get a second opinion or talk to the doctor again about your pain.  Pain is something we shouldn't have to live with if possible.  Tell them about not being able to pick up your child.  Your insurance company should be able to provide you with a person for a second opinion.  Ask to see a BREAST surgeon, you may have to travel to find one, but specialize.  If you're near NYC, I can recommend a good one, but maybe others have advice.

If you are seeing a doctor in a breast care facility, I am sure you are getting good care. There could certainly be some infection in a milk duct since you have a two year old. Did you breast feed? Keep us posted as to what you find out. We are a little slow on weekends and in the summer months but we do care and will help if we can. By the way, I would get copies of any lab or path reports to keep for future reference. Hugs, Mary K.
