I was told today by our surgeon's nurse that we lost our beloved vicky (yankeefan) on August 17.  She struggled long and hard.  Her husband and two sons are doing ok, I'm told.  I hope she's at peace and am glad she's not struggling any more.  I know you all meant a lot to her.  She was a sweet lady.  I remembe when we went to NYC together using a hospital survivor luncheon to get acquainted.  It was too commemorative and sad for us to be around all the sick women, didn't feel empowering at all, so we just took a look at each other, and said at almost the same time let's ditch this and went to a tavern and ate a good meal and talked some real trash like good old girls should!  She honored me that day by letting me get to know her.  I'm really grateful for that!  and of course those great signatures!!! always a rainbow in her posts!
A Special Lady.  she'll be missed

I am very sorry also. Thank you Ellen for letting us know. I never did meet her, but remember her well.

I knew as soon as I saw your title what you would be telling us. How terribly sad Vicky has lost her battle. She seemed so full of life and hope. I am glad you got to meet her and spend some time with her. I know it is harder for you to accept her loss after meeting her, but I am sure she set some good thoughts and memories in your heart. God rest her soul. Hugs MK

Dang it, dang it, dang it. I hate this disease. I remember Vicky from the old days at the village and I remember when she got her recurrence. I hope that she was at peace and wish peace and comfort for her family.

Another one taken from us too soon.

Hugs to us all-

I am so sorry to hear about Vicky...

Lori, I also remember Vicky from the old neighborhood.

My thoughts and prayers are with vickys family.

Haven't been around to much lately.  The Lord certainly leads me to where I need to be.  I am so sorry to hear about Vicki.  I will pray for her family and friends and that Peace be with her.
