confused  Hi to all you wonderful Ladies (& Men)
This is my first time here.  I have been reading your encouraging messages for the last couple of days.  I went for my yearly mammogram about a week and a half ago and was called by my GYN's office a few days later.  They said they had scheduled me for a spot compression Mammo and an ultrasound.  I went for those and then was asked to go and speak to the radiologist.  He scheduled a biopsy for me which will be done this Thursday, 9/20/07.  The ultrasound and mammo showed an "ill-defined inhomogeneous hypoechoic shadowing mass in the central right breast just medial to the nipple line.  This measure 9 mm x 9 mm x 8 transverse.  This likely correlates with the mamographic finding and is suspicious for malignancy."  Needless to say I am pretty anxious.  I have always had problems with cysts but never anything like this.  Am a little scared.  I do not know of breast cancer in my family but my father passed away 6 years ago from non-hodgkins lymphoma and my brother just did battle with colon cancer.  I guess I just ask for prayer and it just feels good to talk to someone that has been there and done that!
God Bless you all!

Prayers are with you. Just keep yourself distracted the best you can and try not to jump to any conclusions until the Dr. tells you what is going on. There will be lots of us with you holding your hand during your biopsy. When it's done...go do something nice for yourself. Please keep us posted.

Waiting here with you.  Hoping it's nothing but a pork chop bone (a very old saying we have here, I don't exacty remember the origin of it.  someone may tell).  Tommorow, just imagine all of us with you, swimming around you like dolphins do when one of them is ill or hurt.  the others circle around them and surround them with love.  We'll be with you. Afterwards, Please do that good thing for yourself, just don't spend too much money. thinking wrecklessly had been a fault of mine when I was early, and it took a lot of pain and time to get back to normal money matters.  I hope its not what we have had to go through, but if it is, you've come to the right place.  These women are great and knowledgable of the process.  It's very comforting and sometimes empowering.  This is the best club that no one should have to join.

Just wanted to let you all know that I dodged the bullet again and was truly blessed. When I went in for my biopsy after two more radiologists did some more ultrasounds on my breast they felt like it was fibrous tissue and maybe a cyst. He inserted a needle and withdrew fluid. IT WAS A CYST, PRAISE GOD! Anyway they put in a marker near the area and I am to go back in 6 months. Even though these cysts are truly a pain to deal with, I will not complain for this one was truly a blessing. Thank you all for your encouraging and kind words and I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.
