ANyone get life insurance after BC?

I tried to increase my group life insurance policy from work. Because I indicated that I take allergy meds and prn ambien, they wanted to see my medical records for the past 3 years. Since I see an oncologist every year, my PCP writes a referral and presumably writes a note in my record with a BC dx. Naturally, my coverage increase was declined. Postponed, actually.

I had a guy out 2 weeks ago for blood testing to try and get a private life insurance policy and got notified tonight that I was declined. We do not have information yet as to why, it might simply be more time is needed. More info will be sent to me.

Wondering if anyone here was able to get insurance after BC? Ah, the gift that keeps on giving.

Yes...after numerous denials from various companies, I was approved by Sun Life, which our bank brokers for. Since my husband is disabled, I felt it was important, in case anything should happen to me. Our banker assures us it is a reputable company, so I'm happy.

I was also denied additional coverage by group life insurance through work.

Hope this helps...
