I've had Crohn's for about six years now (at least diagnosed...who knows how long I've really had it), and over the years at HW, I've noticed it isn't uncommon for auto-immune conditions to gang up on a person. So here's my situation, and if anyone has input that would be awesome.

Problems. Trying Effexor for the anxiety, and I think...I think it's causing some odd side effects. That whole brain light switch thing, which I guess are called brain zaps according to wikipedia. Those have been bad, as has dizziness/vertigo. Pile on top of that some heart palpitations, and things are just not cool. Its the kind of thing where I feel my heart kinda hiccup a beat, then squeeze really hard to make up for it.

Tonight, I'm stuffy and snuffly and my throat is so sore I can hardly swallow. My arthritis has been kicking up an absolute b*****. Arms, hands, fingers, hips, knees, ankles...the other night it felt like I had somehow dislocated the middle joint in my index finger. I actually woke Kerry up pulling at it trying to get it to settle down.

I'm tired all the time, but I can't sleep. I know I should know better, but I got on wikipedia and started reading up on hypotension, since that was what Kerry was thinking of as a first line thing to check out. I went from there to mono, which I kinda doubt, but who knows....then I ran across Chronic Fatigue.

Anyone here got CFS along with their Crohn's? Man some of those symptoms sound familiar, and not in a recent kinda way. They sound like things i"ve been dealing with for a long time now, but just always figured I'd bull my way through.

Thing is, now, bulling my way through isn't working so hot.

Advice????
