sad  ok. i am feeling very doctors around here have found anything to help my cfs & i am still getting" you look fine come on with us" when i can't walk across the room i am so weaki have 1 dear friend left;unfortunately she lives in georgia & i am in colorado;we are in close touch  but it is not the same;i know that the only thing in this life i can control is how i react to things...i am working on losing the ego reaction ;the reactive, unhealthy kind from childhood and making good strides; so i realy do not ave to let my thoughts , intellect, ego make me unhappy;all i have to do is be, let go of the old ego junk and now i am happy...i am happy, thanks for listening to me work through the rpocess!! descartes was mistaken, by the way, :I think therefore i am: no, am because iam: when the ego enters & that & intellect run the show THEN you are miserable...amazing..close to buddhism but not....just be, do your thing;you deserve to be fulfilled, happy simply because you exist; is true, but i do not speak of people who have no i do not know .anyway, thanks, artpainter44 :-) :-) :-)
hi, i am artpainnter44, a female freelance artist with  many physical problems. i live in a simple manner regarding philosophy;the only thing in the world i can control is my own reaction to things that happen.
    there is such a freedom in that, it's incredible;i give up wanting to control things & other people(you can't);i am learning to keep my old reactive ego reactions out of the present;it is not easy, it is simple;it takes practice & you will still hurt, cry, etc. but it's a whole different perspectine on life;i think it saved mine. thanks, painter

I agree that it stinks that there really are no good meds for cfs. I just don't think there is a lot of money out there for research for cfs.
Diagnosis:  UCTD (lupus) 2006; Raynauds 2006; Sjogren's 2006; lupus symptoms began 2003; CFS 1991; Mono 1985
Meds:  Plaquenil 400mg; Prednisone 5-10mg; Tramadol 100mg 3-4x daily; Doxepin 25-50mg; Prevacid; Evoxac; Steriod Cream and Mouth Rinse for tongue and mouth ulcers; Hydrocodone 5/500 prn for severe pain; Artificial tears

I live in Colorado and I also deal with CFS. I was just asking my Dr if there was any new meds that they have come out with for CFS. It drives me nuts. I also get so weak I can't walk across the room. It is worse in the summertime.

I too have figured out the only thing I can control is how I react or respond to things. Knowing & understanding that has been the key to my living with these conditions!!
I have always favored a simpler way of life, so I have benefited from this for many years now. It was also one of the hardest things I 've ever done!

Besides - I have a constant source of humor - myself!!!! At least I can all most always laugh at myself!! smhair

Now living without appendx & gall bladder

"Conditions": Lyme Disease, STARI, RMSF, Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, Lyme Arthritis, Neuro infection from LD, FM, CFS, Chronic/acute EBV, IBS-C, Diverticulosis (& "itis").

Various meds for LD & co's,
1200 mg neurontin, 100mg trazodone
2000 mg chlorzoxazone 50mg Hydoxyz Pam
160 mg dicyclomine 2000mcg B12
40 mg celexa b-complex
800 IU Vit. E 2000 mg fish oil
6mg melatonin 400mg Mg Ox
AND... a multi-enzyme probiotic formula.

Gee, a person would think I was ill or something!! =)
