Hey guys. Well I’ve been dealing with mono & extreme fatigue for the past 5 weeks now.

I just wanted to offer some advice in terms of doctors telling you there is no cure except rest because it is a virus. Well maybe to them euticals there is no cure, but there are plenty of foods and herbs out there that are very anti-viral.
I'll begin with the stuff I used and did wonders in only few days...Garlic..Eat as much of this stuff as you can..Other anti-viral foods consist of onions, broccoli, and apples

also..I used echinacea/echina force- It's a flower/ herb with strong anti-viral properties

I can definitely relate to the torture and pain that goes with this stuff. But just endure it, it's worthwhile.

But the best stuff I started taking 3 weeks ago and helps me a lot is an antiviral, natural supplement (called Gene-Eden) that targets EBV and CMV viruses in the body, and brings back our immune system to where it was before…!
After two weeks the main change was that I felt much energized than before...almost like I used to be when healthy.
A week later, the other symptoms significantly weakened, and I slept and felt much better.

anyways hope this can help someone out there, who suffers from what I have been through.
take care,
Supernanny

I totally relate to what you are saying here. I am a big fan of healthy nutrition and natural remedies.
I too use this antiviral supplement you mentioned, and it helped me sleep better at nights and get some of my energy back.

Isn't it amazing to see how physicians /pharmaceuticals are often helpless when it comes to this chronic problem?
It makes you do your own search for solutions, even if they are not always the "conventional" ones...

Hope you feel better,
O.

Hello, I am new here and I was just diagnosed with Chronic Mono yesterday. Apparently I had Mono at some point in my life and did not know therefore I did not get any treatment for it b/c my dr thought it was just some other virus that they couldn't do anything for so I did not get treated properly. So, now I have the Chronic Mono and the weird thing about it is that my body doesn't fight it b/c it doesn't recognize the virus. And of course with the Chronic Mono I get to have the Epstein Barr Virus too. My dr is running more blood tests to get more answers and she started me on the Glutathione/ATP injections for the next 6 weeks in which then I will go back and do more blood tests.

I have been sick most of my natural life, always with something. My immune system is very supressed. And instead of having the minimum 30% energy stored in my muscles that every human being is naturally born with, my energy level is 11% so hopefully the Glutathionel/ATP injections will work for me.

Hi Sickly,
I know how you feel, my main concern when I got Mono was that it will become chronic, this is why I decided to boost up my immune sys. as fast as I can with healthy diet and gene-eden that was effective mainly in targeting chronic viruses.
Don't give up!!
you can start changing your nutrition habits, take good natural supplements that will help you in reducing the amount of chronic viruses in your body significantly and improve your immune system, it's possible, not something that you need to live with for the rest of your life.

Do what I did, take a blood test before and take another one few weeks later on and compare the results, you will see a difference.
Good luck.

Thanks SuperNanny,

That's what my Internal Medicine Specialist is doing actually. I go back in 6weeks to see how my immune system is doing at that point with the injections I am taking. I have supplements out the ying-yang, I have Super B Complex, B6, B12, Multi-Vitamin, and I couldn't tell you what others I have w/o looking at them (well I'd have to find them first lol).

I've been thru so much in my life that giving up at times has been an option b/c I've been thru so much but I know that if I do, my illnesses win and I lose again.

Hi Supernanny,

Glad you shared about this product. I just had a couple questions.

Did you find you felt any worse while you were taking the product? I tried antivirals before and felt really lousy before feeling better which is why I ask...hoping it's not the case with this one.

Also, I couldn't find a list of ingredients for the product. Can you tell me what's actually in it? Herbs or something?

Is it a powder or tablets or? If it's tablet or capsule, is there an ingredient list of what's in these also?

I have a lot of sensitivities and just like to know what is in a product before I order it.

Thanks for your time and consideration in sharing!

Hi SuperNanny,

Got lab results today and White Cell Counts are okay so doc wants to just stick to our original plan of the Glutathione/ATP injections and then re-draw blood in 5 more weeks which would be around the 1st of December. This blood draw will tell us if my energy level has increased from 11% and if my immune system has increased at all. I did find some D-3 Immune/Bone Health Vitamins at my condo today while I was looking for my Medical Dictionary so I am going to start taking those again to see if they help as well. I actually need to visit quite a few of the boards on this site but I haven't found the time to get there with school and working around the house and kids etc. but eventually I'll get there.

Have a great night!

Supernanny,

I just wanted to say thank you for posting about solutions that have worked for you! On the Internet, I think it's easy to find folks posting about their problems but people rarely take the time to post about what helped them. Thank you!

Hi

Garlic is great. I had a real bad mono, every symptom ticked, and what helped me is this: echinacea, 2 times 1000mg C, Turmeric, Probiotic. In addition to this are verbena and detox teas, plus Garlic. I also used homeopathy acc to symptoms. With fever, Belladonna 30c, then Kali Mur for swollen lymph nodes then Hepar sulph for throat pain and white coating. Sky high liver enzymes and quite high white blood cell count were dropping steeply under this treatment.

I am just now recovering from EBV... I agree. To recover you HAVE to make lifestyle changes. I take an assortment of vitamins under my doctor's care. I'm very careful to take them at the correct time of day and HOW I take them to get them most absorption. Some vitamins can not be taken together. Some can keep you awake, etc. You MUST rest when your body feels its needed. When I started feeling like I could handle it I started yoga and it helped me tremendously...you wouldn't want to do anything strenuous. I did detox baths, steam rooms. Drank alot of water (very important). Eliminated caffeine and alcohol as they are EBV triggers. EBV/chronic mono is not something you get better from over night. It's very gradual so be patient. You will find that you will start having more good days than bad days. But you can't overdo it when you THINK you are start feeling better. I still have to be very careful. It's all about taking care of your immune system...even after you start feeling better. Like I said, it's a lifestyle change! EBV can come back it you don't take care of yourself.

Hi,

The liver needs to be treated to get fully better. Turmeric, milk thistle, probiotic, verbena and plenty of rest. Very healthy diet, no funny drinks ie alcohol, coffee, sugary stuff, no white/sugary/fatty things, or snacking on this and that. And not a lot to eat. Fasting one day a week with only distilled water w lemon helps too if you were healthy before. Garlic can also be continued. A skilled acupuncturist dr can help w treating the liver if things are bad.

How do you get tested for chronic mono? I had mono in 2001 and HPV in 2003.. but I dont know if they could be causing my CFS.

I'm 68 now and have sufferered from mild depression and a CFS-like condition for years and I did have Mono when I was young and don't remember they had any treatment for it at the time other than rest and good nutrition. I have never heard of a specific treatment for CFS!

I am so proud of the way you healed yourself, Suppernanny! I agree with Little Eve....its GREAT to read SUCCESS stories... I got exactly ONE response when I posted what got rid of my ibs after 15 yrs...
I LOVED your post about what all helped you...and also what you said about garlic EvaAngela...
As far the sanctimonious government agencies...the FDA, etc... warning against natural products... Big Pharma is after ONE THING: money. Illness is business. BIIIIIIIG Business. Too bad they don't do articles about how thousands and thousands of people die each year due to Rx chemicals/meds.
There is a 'place' for it all... and one is blessed to find a doctor who actually promotes alternative medicine.
All in all, it depends upon where one's beliefs lie. If you blindly believe in the AMA, big Pharma, and doctors...it is most likely what you 'need'-- because ANY healing you will do will come from the belief anyway...One doesn't take an herb for a broken leg. :) There are some GOOD and compassionate doctors out there.
Sorry for ranting :/ ... but I have to keep believing that more and more people are waking up as to what is really going on. I believe they are.

I was just diagnosed with mono at the age of 37 as far as i can remember i never had mono as a child, i am married so im not kissing anyone i dont know..i do have a very weak immune system i have pneumonia twice in less than a year, had 6 surgeries including a pacemaker. I am suffering so bad right now especially with my lymph nodesy understanding from my understanding 2 were 1 cm in diameter and they are continuing to grow and become more painful. They did not give me anything for treatment. Is it possible that i have infectious mono?? Or is this the natural process and what can i do to get better.

Sidenote: i am wheelchair bound so i am limited to where and what i can do

[[also..I used echinacea/echina force- It's a flower/ herb with strong anti-viral properties]]

I'f youre male, watch out for echnicea as it whacks the testosterone or estrogen or something can't remember which now- but research it first-

The garlic- oddly I built up an allergic reaction to it somehow- used to eat lots of it- now just the smell of it makes me ill, shaky, sweaty- feel like I'm going to throw up etc- I have to be very careful about foods making sure there is no garlic in it-
