I do have Fibro and am involved in a Fibro support group that members have CFS also. They are convinced that I have CFS. I will be going to see the Rhem. Doc that diagnosed me with Fibro. Is there a way to really know the difference that I have both?

You need to persevere with the Rhem Doctor, My specialist diagnosed me with M.E then few months after said I was getting Fybro as I am in bed alot with the M.E and the muscles are starting to waste, this was a huge blow for me. But you do need to persist, and get you're answers. My doctor said Fybro and M.E are very closely linked and can be mixed up. How true this is I do not know, I am just passing on what my Doctor said to me.
Hope this this a good answer for you.
Take care..x

Lissaj,  It's nice to meet you & welcome to the forum.  There is actually a big difference between Fibro & CFS.  While they have many of the same symptoms, they have many that are different.  Fibro is an illness with the main symptom being pain with a componant of fatigue.  CFS is an illness of overwhelming fatigue with a componanat of pain.   I would suggest you look up both on the internet & educate yourself before you go see your Rhuemy.  Knowledge is power & you will feel more sure of yourself if you are armed with this knowledge.  It can be very confusing at first, I know, it took me awhile to separate out my different symptoms for each illness.  I hope it doesn't take you as long as it took me.  LOL
Many hugs, Denise
