Every doctor with whom I have tried to discuss Barr Epstein or the chronic fatigue problem has have had it. It would seem that the entire US has had it. Mine was mild and my flare-ups are also mild.

Flares ups can come from recent infections. The difference I see in myself is that I become VERY IRRITABLE. I remember my husband saying "why are you like this?". Luckily it does calm down though it might take a couple of weeks.

Mild is slowly doing usual stuff
Moderate is unable to do usual stuff but can handle daily living tasks.
Severe may be in wheelchair, unable to brush teeth, comb hair, etc.

THERE IS NO CURE. BEST IDEA is to down size chores, take breaks, eat healthy, get enough sleep, very gentle exercise.

Am grateful mine is not too terrible BUT IT STILL IS A BIG PAIN WHERE THE SUN DOES NOT SHINE!
