I have had migraine auras on n off for about 8 years now (1 or 2 a year), no head aches afterwards. (I also have Dysautonomia and UL-Colitis). This morning I woke up went to the bathroom, laid back down to meditate, and the left side of my face went somewhat numb, and I felt as if I was a bit spaced out for about a half hour or so. I ate called my Doc, and the nurse told me to go right to the ER. I went to the ER, and the Doc there tested my hand strength, did some Nuro finger tracking tests, asked me some questions, and sent me home. Even now at 7PM Im still felling off balance during my 3 mile walk, and dropped a few words during a conversation with a friend. Im a bit spooked here and was hoping someone has been down the same road, and could share it with me.

I just saw this post and was wondering if you had found out a diagnosis of what happened. I have been having the same symptoms but I also have extreme pain in my face (entire face) and extreme vertigo. I also have dysautonomia (just diagnosed 2.5 months ago), lupus, and fibro. The doctors seem to think that I am having facial migraines. Please let me know if you found anything out. Thanks!

Are you sure they did a thorough evaluation to rule out a stroke?

I did have a carotid artery ultra sound and they said I could drive a truck through them...So here it is one year later getting the same symptoms, same time of the year...Docs think its a migraine disorder without the headaches...

I have silent migraines (no pain)with aura & it sure sounds like you have the same. I have had them all of my life but when I was a kid I had the pain with them, as well as vomiting. All of your symptoms point to this. Mental confusion, numbness, fatigue, etc. The symptoms can last up to 24 hours after the aura & can actually start as early as 24 hours before. I usually just take it easy after I have the aura because the fatigue & malaise can be awful for about a day. Hope this helps, Hugs, Denise
