I’ve gone back to doing yoga after a few years off to try and get some movement back in my body. I get quite warm during yoga, and it takes me about half an hour to cool down.

I’ll be comfortable for about an hour, and then all of a sudden I’m freezing. Today I tried hot tea, jumpers, ugg boots, blankets… But I was still freezing. I was so cold that the gums above my front teeth were cold to touch. (It was like I’d had a cold drink… except I’d been drinking hot tea…)

I wound up having a shower just to warm up. That worked for about 40 minutes, but even though I rugged up afterwards I’m getting cold again.  It’s like there’s a core of ice in my diaphragm.

It’s a lovely warm, sunny day… and I’m hiding under a blanket drinking hot water because my body temperature keeps dropping insanely low.

Any ideas what can cause this?

(Other than blood pressure, that’s fine today :D)

Edit:

A bit of research and pestering people at the gym has uncovered that this can be a sign of low iron, low thyroid function, or dehydration.
Time to go pester my GP i think.
