Hello everyone. This is my first time here and my first post. I began to feel tired and run down in February. I had that I may be getting sick " achy" feeling, and it has continued until now....daily!!! I went to the DR. in March and had a CBC, total metabolic panel, ANA, rapid strep, Sed rate, lymes, b-6, b-12, mono......everything normal.

I went back to my DR. yesterday and requested an additional CBC...( leukemia was a worry)....again 3 months later, everything normal. So with 2 normal CBC's and a normal Sed rate and so forth.....my DR. believes it is anxiety related.....possibly obsessive-compulsive disorder. I just know that my chronic tired feeling is getting old.....FAST!!!!

Any advice?????????????????????

Hi Pascal,
Welcome to HealingWell and the CFS Forum!
Drs are famous for diagnosing various psych disorders, instead of CFS, when they see the type of symptoms you have described.  But technically, in defense of your Dr, one must have overwhelming fatigue which is made worse by exercise and stress, for a minimum of 6 months. So even if your Dr suspects CFS, he could not make that diagnosis until your symptoms persist for 6 months.  Here is a link to another thread where I posted several links to websites where you can learn more about it.  Look for my 1st reply in this thread:

But most of all, hang in there!  We all know how traumatic it can be to be seriously ill, yet Drs will not treat us.  The best weapon you can have, for surviving with the least loss physically, is education.  Read everything you can find, and soak up as much info as you can.  Then you will be able to guide your Dr in finding adequate treatment.

And please feel free to post any specific questions you may still have, after doing some research.  We would be glad to try to help.

Take good care  :-)
