Hi all, and hope you are having as good a day/night as possible right now.

I know that severe fatigue is part and parcel of this - and I'm used to a brain fog sensation with the CRPS. (I think brain fog is a part of CFS too isn't it?).

Lately my fatigue has been so bad - a combination of general fatigue, insomnia and pain - that I'm barely functional. Sleeping in snatches that add up to maybe a couple of hours in twenty-four. When I move and speak, other people think I am drunk. There are times when I slur my speech or trail off mid sentence, at my worst I substitute words with little or no awareness of doing it... If I am aware - I know that what I'm saying is wrong, but not what's wrong with it...if that makes sense?

Can anyone else relate to this?

Hi CRPSpatient, first off I'm not sure what that is and yes extreme fatigue, brain fog are part of CFS. Looking at your diagnosis any of them could be responsible due to their ability to cut off oxygen to the brain and I would go to your Neuro, yes I'm assuming you have one, and basically ask which other specialist you should see first and i am sure he/she will have some tests to run. I just started having Vertigo, dizziness, loss of balance and ringing in my ears so I'm going through the test and retest, see this doc and that doc myself. The only other thing i could see is a medication reaction depending on how long you've been on everything? Hang in there and Keep in Touch.

Hi Recovery - CRPS is Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, my primary issue. It usually starts with some sort of injury (be it traumatic or surgical ... in my case it was knee surgery nearly 14 years ago) and in most simple terms affects the parts of the nervous system involved in transmitting pain information... so even after an injury heals there is intense pain (and other things - like extreme swelling, discolouration, abnormal skin temperature). I've got a whole collection of specialists (lol) ... as it sits currently I've got Pain Management, Cardiologist, GI, Neuro (1), Neuro (2 - autonomic), Endo.

My GP thinks that most of it comes from severe fatigue - I'm lucky right now to get a couple of hours worth of catnapping in over 24 hours - and that's been going on for months. I also have some memory loss and other odd symptoms left over from a reaction to a ketamine infusion last year :(

I was just wondering really if these were things anyone else had experienced.

Oh - and not likely to be a med reaction I think as my meds haven't changed in a long time.
