I was online trying to find out more about Glutathione/ ATP shots and found them available to purchase thru a vitamin website, which confused me because I thought they were by prescription only...

1) Does anyone know if these shots are considered a Supplement or by Physicians Prescription Only??

2) If they are a supplement, do you just call a compounding pharmacy and ask them to mix them??

3) The mixture is 100mg of Glutathione and 1mg of ATP, but does anyone know how much Lidocaine is put in to get rid of the burn/sting??

4) Does anyone know of a compounding pharmacy that handles these shots??

5) Does anyone know if Immunocal is as effective as the shots?? Their website states Immunocal is more effective than the shots

 Thanks for your help. Deb

I believe a pharmacist or one of your prescribing doctors may be better able to help you with this. I am sure there are people out there with experience with these sorts of things, me I don't even know what they are for, except Lidocaine of course. It would help if you added what you are trying to relieve, and US or UK as they have different laws, insurance etc. I'm sorry I couldn't be more help but I hope you Keep in Touch anyway.

Hi - I can only answer two of your questions and hope they help.

1. I thought they were script only - I was rx'd them by Dr. Patricia Salvato in Houston, a so-called CFS specialist/expert. They were 100 mg Glutathione and 1 mg ATP - I don't believe mine had any Lidocaine, so cannot answer that part.

4. This (below) is a pharmacy that would have filled it for me; I bought 10 from Dr. Salvato and was unable to inject myself IM (into the muscle) so never had my prescription filled...I'm so very sick and just couldn't pull it off - I ruined most of the injections because I'm too brain fogged to figure out how to do it right.

Hope this helps a bit. May I ask where you saw them online, which vitamin site? Thanks in advance.
