Hi :)
I am 21 (going on 22) and diagnosed with Undifferentiated connective tissue disease, fibromyalgia, hyperflexibility syndrome, ibs, and tachycardia (and that's just the physical stuff!). I'm thinking CFS may be making its way into the list. I'm constantly tired, even from the moment i wake up, i am confused easily (though that may be due to one of my psychiatric issues), and my memory is shot. Shopping today wore me out so much that i couldn't cook the meal i shopped for. i have random pains but that comes from the fibro i guess.... Should i ask my doctor about CFS? its not the UCTD because the most recent tests show that the ANA levels are normal.... and there's no swelling anywhere..... I was recently put on new medications but i was easily worn out before those.

Hi Kitty, Welcome to our litlle corner of the world. Wow, you have A Lot going on smhair And here I thought that was just me smilewinkgrin My advice would be not to worry about CFS just yet, you have several diagnosis that can account for tiredness, fibro, tachy and ibs jump out at me. I assume since you know what's going on you are being treated so I would give the treatments some time to work. If the tired, groggy feeling persists by all means go to your docs and tell them, it could be as simple as a medication that isn't working. Best Wishes and Please Keep in Touch.

i was thinking it could be a few of my meds... like the klonopin but its a really low dose (.5 mg 2x daily) and it COULD be the zyprexa (15mg 1x daily) or the gabapentin (600mg 2x daily) but all of those are vital to my well-being

Kitty Lizzy, Welcome to the forum, nice to meet you. My daughter has Mixed Connective Tissue Disease & Fibro. I have Fibro & CFS. Both of us are always very tired for different reasons. I, also, think it could be your pills. You need to find out if any of these are the problem before you try to add something else. It could be CFS but this is an illness that is found by excluding anything else so finding these things out will get you further along in the process. Once you have ruled these things out then look at CFS. It wouldn't hurt to have your Dr on board with what you are doing so he can rule out anything else. Have you had your iron or Vit D tested? These can cause fatigue. I hope you find out what the problem is but I also know it is hard to just believe that the illness you have is all there is. I searched & searched even after finding out I have the Fibro & CFS, as time went on, though, I came to terms with it. Keep us posted as to what you find out, I hope you don't have CFS because there is no help out there for it. Many gentle hugs, Denise
