constant swollen glands and sore throat

I am in the early stages of CFS (i think i have this) 6 or 7 months in, but what can be done about constant swollen glands and sore throats? Can anything be done, or do we just live with it...does this symptom ever go away?

Can the doc prescribe anti virals for it?

Any comments would be appreciated :o)

That's pretty much how I got diagnosed EBV/CFS, after I'd been through 6 yrs of chronic sinusitis with ear infections, chronic sore throats, etc. The only thing that helped was antibiotics, strong ones, like thats how I ended up with a C-Diff intestinal infection it took them 4 Months to diagnose. So, yeah meds might help for a while just make sure your Docs are paying attention to what their doing to the rest of your body. Keep In Touch

I had this problem when I first came down with CFS, I didn't know I had it so I was treated for sinus problems, swollen glands & sore throat, lot's of antibiotics were used but the symptoms just came back. As time has gone on I don't have these symptoms as much & it seems to have taken care of itself for now. I have just lived with it since my dx. As for antivirals, I have no idea, I would speak with your Physician about this. Hugs, Denise
