I used to get colds all the time particularly when travelling and especially when on planes. I also got mild nose bleeds through winter and when flying or in very dry atmosphere. I found a solution to the nose bleed problem on a forum like this ( so this is my payback) which was to use a saline spray ( the kind you often find for babies). I used this and it got rid of the scabs (yes yuck) and bleeding nose. After 6 months I realised I hadn't had a cold since starting using it so I googled info and found that there was some research on using saline spray and it had been shown to be effective at preventing colds ( hum why is this not publicised ) so I've continued to use it and the only cold I've had this year is when I forgot it. Now this may only work for people who have a thin membrane in their nasal passages which is maybe allowing the virus to enter the blood stream directly. But if you get a lot of colds try it and if it works for you spread the word and keep the karma going.

Let me know if it works for you. They are very cheap to buy. I use every morning and I have a small one in my handbag for when I'm out and about.

I'm in love with saline nose spray. I get a lot of colds because I work with kids, and it cuts their duration down to just a day. (Except one HUGE one this year... But literally everyone at work had it for over two weeks, so I don't feel so bad having it for 3, lol.)

When my sinuses get really bad my ears block up. I tried so many different ear drops, ear candling, decongestants... nothing worked. Head on the side and enough saline spray to reach the back of the ears, and they cleared out instantly.

Great to hear your views. I used to work with kids too and always had many colds up until I discovered the saline spray.
