Hello there. I have had several blood tests done over the last few years and my Dr. says she wouldn't wish chronic fatigue on her worst enemy. I have felt exhausted since my teens, even doing nothing. I am 43 now and this past year I noticed I don't even want to get out of bed. I'm more sleepy then ever. I wake a lot during the night and will ask for a sleep study the next time I see my Dr. I don't feel sick or anything, just achey all over and the last 3 mornings my eyes were super puffy. Thought that was weird. Anyway, do those of you with cfs feel like I do? I have dishes piled up, I had to do laundry this morning but man, what a chore.

Hi got2bteri & welcome to the forum. Your symptoms could be CFS but it takes a lot of testing to get a dx. It is a matter of excluding anything else that it possibly could be. Sounds like you are well on your way. Is your Dr talking about anymore testing? It is nice you found a Dr who knows about CFS, usually we have to go through several to find one who believes it is real & not all in our heads. That is a big plus for you. I agree with your Dr, I hope you do not have CFS, let's hope it is something you can recover from. You having it for so many years though, with no other dx, makes me wonder if it isn't CFS. You are able to work? A distinguishing symptom of this illness is post-exertional malaise, a period of intense exhaustion or other CFS symptoms lasting 24 hours following physical exertion. Does this happen to you? I hope some of this helps you. It will really be up to your Dr to determine if this is what you have. Take care, hugs, Denise
