Below are a couple websites that might help answer your questions. Unfortunately you might have to educate yourself and then educate your Dr.

For me the one symptom was the post exercise fatigue. That seemed to differentiate what I was dealing with compared to other conditions. Pre CFS I was a work out junkie, and did endurance competitions. I knew what it was like to push myself, and how to recover. In CFS you can't recover nearly the same after much less exercise than I was used to. I know that something was off in me after my onset because of the recovery time I had to endure with basic efforts. Plus getting a good nights sleep didn't matter, it was like my body can't get recharged like it used to when having had 8 hours of sleep. Those where the 2 things that led to my diagnosis.

Minnesota Hi. Did you get any pain any where in your body. Or did you get burning or tingleling any where in your body. I am all ways tired but they diagnosed me with anxiety. I have burning and tingleling from my thighs to my feet. My hands burn and tingle. I don't have a appetite and some times my chest hurts. I ve been to a neuroligist and had EMG done and everything came out fine. Misty.

Hi Misty 12

It could be fibromyalgia? That causes pain and tiredness...I have possibly both. If you check out the fibro forum they can help - its a really active board - have you already checked it out?

alternatively it could also be anxiety with CFS?

they are so similar its hard to tell and i still struggle...I am in UK and got diagnosed through GP but you are supposed to see a board certified rheumatologist to diagnose fibromyalgia...also everything else should be ruled out also

I think general rule of thumb seems to be - fibro is more about the pain and then fatigue and CFS is more about fatigue and then the pain??? Also with fibro, you need to have had pain in all four quadrants of body, it can travel around, but fibro can cause a myriad of other symptoms also...it is also possible to have both

CFS is more about post exterional malaise, so a worsening of symptoms like sore throat / aches / nausea / shaking / feeling like you are coming down with flu after exertion...for some this can be minimal exertion

Fibromyalgia - can gradually get better with exercise and people find it best when they move around, whereas CFS seems to be better after resting...

These are just some of the things I have learned along the way :O)

wackers 34 Hi This is Misty. I was just wondering the symptoms. I went to the doctor and they diagnosed me with anxiety. My symtoms are My thighs to my feet burn and tingle. My hands hurt and sometimes tingle. I have no appetite. Some times I get head aches. Some times I shake inside my body. I feel tired. My toungue burns and tingles. Some times my chest hurts and I get this queasy feeling in it. Now when I move around I really don't feel these symptoms but when I sit down and try to relax they will start. I really don't think I have Fibro or CFS. Misty.
