Hi all! New the board, glad that I found it! I've been chasing symptoms for about three years now. Primarily joint and muscle pain, fatigue, headaches, numbness/tinging in the fingers and various other symptoms. I've had tons of tests, MRIs, CTs, U/S and everything else imaginable, and everything keeps coming up normal, with the exception of fluctuating liver enzymes and a consistently high ALT result (150+, as high as 540 once!). I've seen a rheumatologist, a hemotologist, a neurologist, an ENT, a cardiologist, a pulmonologist, an GI, and probably someone else I've forgotten. Was pretty convinced this was all liver related until a few weeks ago I started feeling like I had been hit by a bus. My PCP ran blood, and everything looked pretty good (slightly elevated lymphocytes), but then there was this:

Ebv Acute Infection Antibodies

Test Low Normal High Reference Range Units
Ebv Ab Vca, Igm <36.0 0.0-35.9
Ebv Early Antigen Ab, Igg 27.1 0.0-8.9 U/mL
Ebv Ab Vca, Igg 165.0 0.0-17.9 U/mL
Ebv Nuclear Antigen Ab, Igg 562.0 0.0-17.9 U/mL

I'm no doctor, and all of this EBV/Mono talk is new to me, but those numbers seem really, really bad. What am I looking at here? Simple reactivation of mono, or something else. It seems like there are tons of EBV experts in here, and the more I've read this forum, the more and more CFS sounds like many of my symptoms (although, granted, so do many other afflictions as well!). Any expertise and/or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Boy, the format really squished those results. To save your eyes:

Ebv Ab VCA, Igm: <36.0
Ebv Early Antigen Ab, Igg: 27.1
Ebv Ab Vca, Igg: 165.0
Ebv Nuclear Antigen Ab, Igg: 562.0
