Hi
I have now 12 years chronic fatigue and I have to say that I have nothing found that has helped
( many doctors, supplements , fysio,, homeopathy, medicines, herbs, acupuntur ect ..)
Is there anyone among you who has found something that is working properly for this fatigue?

May I have your opinion please?

Thanks a lot

(sorry i am from Belgium and my English is not so good...☺)

jjacques, first off, let me say that your English is very good so don't worry about it. I have had CFS for about 11 years & have done like you have. I have tried many things. I am sorry to say I have found very little to help with this illness, I know that is not the answer you wanted but for me that is how it is. I pace myself & live one day at a time. I do find that dark chocolate helps with cognitive problems some. It is nice to meet you & I hope you find your answers that you are looking for. Hugs, Denise

Hello Jewelry lady,
Welcome to this forum. No need to worry about your
English. I am able to understand what you are saying.
I have had this for maybe 20 years. I still have
fatigue and allergies and get headaches. But I am able
to function most days. I can do most things.
The two things that helped early in my treatment
were getting my thyroid diagnosed. I am hypothyroid and
I take armor thyroid. Also, I had my adrenals checked.
Now, I take cortef. I could tell a difference when
I started these.
That isn't to say, that I don't still have fatigue,
because I do.
I had to retire early and am fortunate that
I don't have to work.
Are you working?
Some days, I just have to stay in and
rest all day. Also, I have tried various diets. For
three years I was a vegetarian. Now, I eat some
chicken and have taken out grains, breads, rice and
pasta. My digestion feels much better. That's just
me. I'm not recommending this for everyone, but it
has helped. Also, I don't drink alcohol and have
some caffeine only in green tea. Trying to keep my
body alkaline has made a big difference. Maybe you've
done some of these things?
Also, I walk whenever I can. I cook for myself
as much as possible. I don't eat foods from packages.
I also eat organic.
I have a spiritual practice and meditate when I
can. I try to stay positive about life though I must
say this is a big challenge. I can be rather cynical.
So, I still watch the nightly news, but not every night.
Keep looking for answers. You may find something
which helps you. I hope you do. Keep us posted
and I send you my best wishes to Belgium.
I was there once I thought it was a very
beautiful country. D Dawn

Have you tried probiotics of the home-made variety? For example Kombucha, Kefir, sauerkraut (lacto-fermented), etc.
I had chronic fatigue for many years. I do not have it now but the reason I mention probiotics - I have started making these things and am convinced they give me a real boost in energy.
Everyone is different but maybe they will help you. Worth a try?

What seems to help me most is watching food. It cannot be prepackaged and must be real whole food. My most recent change has been NO dairy. It is hard, very hard but being sick is harder. I miss the dairy but it isn't worth the pain. Also, force myself to move around more and do gentle stretching. Added probotics. My sed rate went from 67 to 25 in a short time.

From my medical experience I can say that CFS affects people in many different ways and so treatment for CFS will be tailored for specific symptoms. There are different therapies and medications available for CFS treatment. It's difficult to determine whether these therapies actually work, partly because the symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome are linked to mood and can vary from day to day. You are having CFS from 12 long years and may be you've tried all these. Some disease have no remedies but we can reduce their impact. I recommend you to do daily medication for particular symptoms. With this you should also take certain self-care measures like keeping yourself stress less, improve your sleeping habits, Keep your activities on an even level.
