I was recently diagnosed with acute mono, after "many" years of Dr's unable or ever seeing anything like the tiny spots in roof of my mouth & tonsils, almost always accompanied by low grade fever, 99.9 & sore throat, & lethargic.
Labs also showed EBV Ab VCA IgG high at 301.0, norm value 0.0-17.9.
Referred to Neurologist who DX: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome & script for Nuvigil, which ripped my stomach:-( Did loose 6 lbs but not worth the pain. He now wants to put me on Ritalin & I am fearful of it. I am 69 & was first DX: at age 47 w mono. Seeing Reumatologist next month, along with Cardiologist for "Stress Echo."
My complaint has always been "feel like I'm dying but nothing hurts."
Symptoms ALWAYS, yellow bumps in mouth, low grade fever, sore throat & EXTREME exhaustion.
As a kid & until I received Shingles shot, have suffered canker sores as long as I can remember. NEVER a morning person as seems I sleep soundest in AM, once my mind has rested.
Would appreciate ALL opinions & suggestions!
Just started Wellbutrin, 75 mg in AM & Temazapam at bedtime to quiet my mind.
Self employed & work physical & mental hrs, 50-55 hrs a wk.
Quit smoking 4 yrs ago, after 44 yrs but.....gained 41 lbs! Quit Personal Trainer, not enough energy:-(
Please offer me ANYTHING!!!
Thank you!

First off, sorry for what you are going through.

The yellow bumps could be a form of yeast infection. If you have had these for many years, or decades, I would not be surprised if you had candida. This is severe yeast overgrowth that goes systemic and is very difficult to treat and causes many, many symptoms that mimic other diseases.

The first thing I would try is taking some really good probiotics, tons of raw garlic (added to foods) and cutting out everything except vegetables - but no cooked peas, carrots or corn, potatoes or starchy tubers or squashes, and organic meats only - absolutely no meats with antibiotics in them. You would have to stay on this profile for about a year or two.

You also have a herpes virus that doesn't seem to want to settle down, you can probably control that too with the new diet.

Most people eat way more sugar in their diet than they will admit and sugar is completely toxic and taxes and weakens our bodies and immune systems like nothing else. Sugar comes in the form of those cooked veggies I mentioned above, grains that have been ground and processed like breads, and of course the obvious ones including soda's (even sugar free ones), bakery goods, candies, etc., and even fruits.

Good Luck and best wishes

Thank you jkn913!
I have suspected candida for many years but "several" Dr's said "no!"
My Chiropractic Daughter feels it is Candida also!
I am just going to have to face the facts & eat healthier! Most of my sugar does come from veggies:-(
Interesting about the meat!
Bought a book on Candida years ago, better get it out & read from cover to cover!
Thank you again! I needed to hear this!
