When I first got this illness of ME about 5 or 6 years ago, it started with small bouts of not feeling good after doing a 3 or more thing in a week. Like going to movies or programs. Now , after a few bad years of stress and death in the family...I now get very ill with flu like symptoms after just going to the grocery store or talking too much on a phone. In other words...very easily. Way more sick and very easy to gwt there. So....am wondering how many of you have gone thru stages with this ME or CFS? Will I keep gerting worse or can I get back to those first stages?

littlemama33, first off, I am sorry for what you are going through....

Yes, mine came on in stages. At first I would get sick every few months for a few weeks. It started getting closer and closer and longer and longer over a couple of years until I was only well for a few days then sick for a couple weeks. I was able to turn it back quite a bit with Ion and Noni juice. The next thing I notices was the post exertional malaise. It took a while for me to figure out what was going on because I had never heard of exercise being harmful for you, but it certainly was making me sick. After a while I went off the noni and Ion and I hit bottom again. It has taken me a couple of years but I am doing OK. Still have to watch everything I eat and everything I do and how much sleep I get, etc., etc. etc.

I have been able to get this far from being very restrictive with my diet, I really believe this is the key, and also watching all the other triggers as mentioned above. I also went back on the Ion and Noni juice.

So to answer your last question, no, I don't believe we have to settle for our lives being destroyed. There are things you can do to at least get back to 70 or 80% normal. Some people have even gotten to 100%, but it is few and I am happy with my 70 - 80%.

Ion is a stabilized liquid oxygen. It is supposed to help fight bacteria and viruses. I attached a web site below and you can research it.

Noni is a berry, it grows in Tahiti and Hawaii, that I know of. I started off taking the Tahiti, a site is below that tells about it, but I ordered it off Amazon. You want to make sure you get the good brand. Unfortunately it has a lot of preservatives in it and gave me debilitating hot flashes. I got my mom started on the noni, she was starting to go into kidney failer and it turned it around. The Dr. told her what ever she is doing, keep doing it because he has never seen that happen before.

Now I take the raw - organic Hawaiian. It works too, not sure as good as the Tahiti, but I don't get hot flashes.

I believe the Ion helps keep the virus, or what ever this is, under control and the noni heals and gives me energy. However, I still need to watch my diet like a hawk.
