I am talking about being bedridden and unable to get up and fix your own food, barely able to walk or stand. That is the point I got to a couple weeks ago. I am improving VERY slowly because I am only taking the simplest foods: Broth, raw eggs, colostrum, extra-cooked veggies. That and rest has given me some improvement but I am feeling really discouraged today like I might never kick this. I hate seeing that some people took years to heal even with professional help. WHAT? I'm 26 years old, I'm young and I believe I can heal faster than that. I could really use some encouragement and pointers though. Anyone else out there go this alone successfully?

Hi. My name is Harve. I had a fairly severe case of adrenal fatigue or insufficiency about a year ago. I went to two doctors and an endocrinologist that had me do a blood test that showed there was nothing wrong. Then, I went to Dr. Kwiker that believes in more natural treatments which involved two adrenal extracts. The test that showed extremely low levels of DHEA and cortisol were a saliva test and urine test. I did the four IVs of glutathione and vitamin C. Each day I took the seven supplements for about five weeks and was normal at the end of it all. Dr. Kwiker is in Sacramento, CA.
I can tell you a lot more but at this point I just wanted to give you hope because if you go to the right kind of doctors you can get well. Have you heard of naturopathic doctors? They are the ones that know how to treat your disease. The problem is that insurance doesn't cover them in most states. States that include them in health plans are Washington, New Hampshire, Denver and a couple of others that I can't remember.

Hi Luthien ... I was that bad about 6 years ago ... it took awhile to recover, but it IS possible. I'm actually in the same place again (from stress, illness, and such) ... but I'm hopeful there won't be a next time since I am going to take better care of myself from here on out!! =) Dr. Lam and Wilson have great websites with TONS of info ... have you heard of them?
