If this can help ANYONE who like me, was desperately looking everywhere for a solution to this awful disease and quickly losing hope, I'd feel like my job has been done.

After 7 months of feeling completely run down, desperate and falling into depression because it really did feel like I would feel like this for the rest of my life, two things helped me: Monolaurin and a Reishi mushroom supplement.

They're both over the counter, but I can't stress enough the difference they have made. I have gone to countless doctors and they all told me the same thing, rest and sleep, I felt like no one was taking me seriously or understanding the gravity of the situation. I didn't want to just wait, it was driving me insane.

I'm not 100% healed, I'm only a few days in, but I'm about to cry tears of joy over this lifeline. I had tried EVERYTHING, antivirals, B12 injections, bedrest for weeks, nothing was making a difference, I just felt like I had run a marathon and constantly exhausted.

I am genuinely surprised Monolaurin is not mentioned or recommended more often, there's plenty of research proving that it works and the way it does this is by eating the fatty membrane around the virus, allowing your body and your immune system to attack it directly, bringing it out of hiding. Reishi Mushrooms are overall great for your immune system, but they also contain what are called triterpenes, which have also been shown to directly deactivate the Epstein-Barr virus.

If this sounds too good to be true, do the research yourself, but I just hope this helps someone. I was desperate and willing to try anything and I am so glad I did, it's a very cheap supplement. I took the 500mg Monolaurin supplement 3, sometimes 4 times a day and that along with the Reishi have started to finally turn my life around.

Best of luck to you all, I know how terrible this can be. Feel free to ask any questions.

Dear EBVRecovery, thank you very much for your post. I just ordered a 550 mg bottle of Monolaurin. I'm looking forward to trying it. This CFS (EBV) is at the point in my life where it's nearly debilitating. I've been fighting it for nearly 27 years now and it's getting worse. sad I tend to stay away from anything to do with mushrooms, as I once had Candidiasis at one time. Anything to do with mold, fungus, yeast, sugars, etc. is a no no for me. Thank you once again for your post! Frank

Thanks for the success story - so glad to hear you've found something that's been able to hit EBV on hits head.

I've had years of depression, fatigue, cognitive issues and pain and doc suspects EBV. I'm on Valtrex 4000 mg per day although I'm very tempted to try other remedies.

This is SO encouraging, EBVRecovery- thank you for sharing!!!
I'm brand new here and looking for support during this EBV journey. I began Lauricidin about 2 months ago, in addition to 1,000 to 3,000 of "Lysine Extra", with not much improvement (in fact, my EBV EA jumped from about 40 to 125 from the first reading in March to the 2nd reading a couple weeks ago!!). Just recently I started having compounding symptoms- JUST AWFUL....herx rx?? Anyhow, stopped both and started diving down rabbit holes that I surely have EBV related lymphoma, other cancers, etc. Man oh man has the last 8 months been a nightmare of symptoms. I've had MRI's up the wahoo, mammogram/breast u/s, you name it. Tomorrow I'm going in for labs to test for a slew of autoimmune disorders. : / Anyhow, I just received a ginormous bucket of "Ultimate Monolaurin" in the mail and plan to give it another go (possibly sans the Lysine as I read it has pretty nasty GI side effects, which I fully experienced). I'm contemplating ordering Bio-fibrin (by the same company)....anyone out there have experience/success with it? I will for sure look into the mushrooms!
Once again, ecstatic to hear of your successes...I hope they continue!! <3
