Cilly,

It sound like Lyme disease to me...

Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatique syndrome are often misdiagnosis’.

Please go in the Lyme Disease group here on Healingwell.com and mention what you’re going through.

And ALL guidelines for Lyme should be through ILADS.org

My Rheumatologist has advised that CFS and Fibro are on the same spectrum. And may be different manifestations of the same condition- Fibro having mainly muscle aches/pain as the main sign and CFS having constant fatigue , but both can have common symptoms.

Unfortunately the signs of both share common symptoms with many other conditions as well and also unfortunately currently there are no confirmatory "diagnostic" tests to rule either condition in, but instead have to rely on ruling other diseases/syndrome out which can be time consuming costly and frustrating when we just want an answer.

In regards to Lyme we don't "officially" have that in Australia so cannot comment but do wonder at time if my fibro is lyme disease or a Lyme-like disease.

I have been DX with both although it's more a case of ruling out other things since there aren't really tests. Mine started out with Fibro because of the pain but then the fatigue I have is more like CFS in that it's debilitating.

I suspect there is a lot to learn about both diseases but just not enough funding.

My Cleveland Clinic doctor insisted that fibro and CFS are bound together. I had thought I didn't have fibro, but he recommended Lyrica and it has helped tremendously with the pain.

Feeling feverish on and off is also a CFS symptom. Unless you are at risk for things like Lyme, i.e. camped out or have it in your area, don't drive yourself crazy.

Check out Dr. Sarah Myhill for CFS protocol. As a 47 year CFS patient, I consider her to have the best understanding.

I would want to go on lyrica as well.I have crazy pain which is nerval many times.

Most docs think its cause of arthritis and lupus combined, plus fibro .

My fatigue is extremely bad to point that makes me dsyfuntional at times.

For fever take Advil on and off.

Stress seems to cause it .
