Does anyone who has been diagnosed with CFS feel like they are violently ill? I have felt this way throughout my illness.  It is so much more then feeling tired and flu like.  I actually have felt and still feel something is very very wrong inside my body!! Any opinions would be great!!

When you say violently ill, do you mean like you feel like your internal organs are affected or is it just a feeling of feeling extremely sick? I have just mostly had the physical feeling that things aren't right inside my body. Now that I have lupus it complicates things more and it's almost impossible for me to sort out lupus stuff from CFS.

Princess Jez- do you believe that you have chronic fatigue syndrome or do you think it is something else.  It is hard to believe that we can send a rocket to the moon, but they cant figure out was is wrong with us.  I just feel so horrible inside. I am only 28 years old.  Right now I can go maybe half a day without feeling the horrific feeling, but it always catches up to me.  Have you been extensively tested.  Did you do parasites and things like that?  I still have not given up on the medical testing.

Hi Aquarias. When I first went to the Doctors with my symptoms I was really worried that I had some kind of cancer, especially as my Gran died of stomach cancer and my Mum's had curable cancer in her jaw, my Auntie in her breast. The Doctor said I wasn't being as irrational as I thought but I also got and sometime to get that feeling of something being really wrong inside although the Doctor's said it's almost definitely not something like that. I have had an Endoscopy, a telescope in my stomach and they've said there's nothing wrong but still, like you, I am reluctant to trust medical testing especially because I hear stories of people who have had their illnesses missed. The NHS is in such a state here though that I don't have a lot of faith in it.

Hello CFS works to supresst he nersous system in women especially over time and that may be why you feel ill physically as well as having a mental disorder. CFS is very debilitating to the psyche as well since it disrupts the natural sleep and eating patterns and metabolic patterns as well. CFS is not only frustrating but also leads to feelings of constant concern for certain other ailments to be involved physically, due to the traumatic effect on the hormonal system. You should see your Dr and try to attend a support group or read books, or get information here at Healing well for your disorder in order to learn more about your disorder. CFS is very complicated in understanding and living with I hope you get some help that you need for your CFS soon. Take Care and good day
