panicky, I'm sorry you have been having problems with your health for so long. Since you had mono is May, it might just be taking a long time for you to fully recover. I had mono my senior year of high school (I'm 39 now) and I missed a month of school, but it took me a very very long time before I felt anything that resembled normal, in fact I feel like I was never ever the same after I had mono. For the entire first year after I had mono I had chronic strep throat and I had never had strep throat in my life and I was exhausted a lot of the time. Eventually I was diagnosed with CFS and then after about
3 years I finally got some relief and was fairly healthy for a few years before developing lupus.
I'm guessing that someone has probably already suggested getting tested for lymes disease too just to rule that out. It is very hard to sort some of these illnesses out and to get an accurate diagnosis. Your symptoms do sound like CFS, but the symptoms are also rpesent in other illnesses too, however, having mono does seem to precede cfs a lot of times. Hang in there and know that we are here for you. Take care.
