I got done with another dose of antibiotics friday (sinus infection to resp infection to spreading into my jaw) and I am just waiting for a bomb to drop.  I have felt good for about a week.  I am tired but it is manageable.  Every time I start feeling better I end up sick again and it is a crappy feeling.  My head keeps saying, "Okay, when is this gonna end?  When am I going to wake up sick again?  When is my body going to shut down again?"  Does anyone else feel that way when they are feeling "better?"
On a better note, I talked with the school psychologist and she is giving me the paperwork for ADA.  Also, four of eight people, that I know of, have gone to the head of our nursing level and filed a complaint against our clinical instructor we have in regard to paperwork and treatment.  I decided to report her after she gave me an unsatisfactory on paperwork...first time EVER I got a U.  I had another clinical instructor review the paperwork and she said she had to read it several times before finding anything wrong but it should NOT have been a U.  The head is having a meeting with the instructor this week and we are to report back to the level head after our midterm review.  Travis and I went together, by shear accident (we ran into each other outside her, and she kept a ton of our completed assignments, papers that the instructor gave us on additions she wanted on the paperwork (the required two to three hours had turned into four or five hours) and she kept e-mails proving we weren't getting the assignments until 7 or 8 Monday night and they are due first thing on Tuesday.  We are to have them by 4 or 5.  She informed ALL of us after the first bout of paperwork that not a single one of us deserved to pass is and that we were ALL incompetent to distribute meds because we didn't have them memorized.  One...that is why we do med cards (that she will not let us use for the 37 meds we got around 12 hours before we are to hand them out) and two...RN's don't have EVERY med memorized!!!!  I don't get extra time in nursing but my Lit, Acting and Political Science professors are giving me extra time to get my assignments done.  Goodness me...I may actually

Hi Angie,

Glad to hear that things are starting to turn your way at school. That's great!
As far as waiting for the bomb to fall -- YES!! I know exactly how you feel. It is when you get so used to feeling crappy that when you feel a little better it feels strange, foreign, and you don't trust it. For me I know I also tend to overdo it the moment I am feeling better, so I feel stressed and tense in anticipation of blowing it. Just enjoy it while you can and try to still take it easy and not push your luck. Hope it your "better-ness" lasts!

All the best!

I also worry about when the bomb will drop during times when I start to feel better. Unfortunately I often try to do a lot to make up for everything I missed when I was in bed, which then ends up setting me back, so I am trying to learn how to pace myself better.

I'm glad that things are looking promissing for school. Hang in there and I hope the bomb doesn't drop for a very long time.

Take care
