Ocean, I don't believe that your EBV has to be active to have CFS. A lot of us with cfs have had EBV before at some time. I found that once I had ebv, I was very succeptible to catching everything. You ebv may have been what started this whole thing even though it is not active now.
As far as work goes, your doctor may have to write something up for your boss - that should help against any possible disciplinary action. The thing that really stinks about
CFS is that there really isn't a lot on the line of treatment and it's a lot of trial and error to see what might work.
