I cant tell you everything that worked and what is not necessary,

I've had some breakthrough.

I think the origination of the illness is the gut.

That was improved with a large glass 1/2 water 1/2 real cranberry juice each morning

and night, apple cider vinegar, oregano oil vegicaps. Occasional olive leaf capsule.

Several bottles of cold water during the day, followed up with the probiotics. Everything seemed to reduce the appetite, ate less, ate better, reduced carbs, elliminated cravings, zero sugar ( substituting stevia in coffee and iced tea ).

I'll have 130 calorie organic vegetable soup, sunflower seeds, organic fruit, carrots,

celery etc when I'm hungry and need a snack. Never anything out of an industrial box.

There are organic cereal bars and Kettle brand of potato chips I'll use. I may get

a little headachy when I get hungry, something like a small Jersey Mikes sub will not

put any weight on. This headachy is nothing like neuro pain and stress for 30 years

I endured.

At the restraurants I order the kids portions ( I was a 205 lb man )

I'm 175 now down from 205 last winter, 215 a year before. Stomach is flat, digestion is moving. I was filling out a 35 waist dockers now down to 33's, and will need 32 waist soon. The shoe maker had to punch new holes in my belts, these are the small

positive reinforcements that it's real.

I started a cleanse tablet, one at night, early to say but it helps regularity without

any of the adverse laxative effects.

Subtle changes occured like less to no underarm sweat, no underam odor, amd stopped

using a deodorant! Many subtle changes occur. After a while I noticed underm

odor again and started up the cranberry juice and turmeric again, solved.

At this point I'm was taking coq10, organic vitamin, magnesium oxide, B5, apple cider vinegar (GNC), oregano oil, NSAID, DHEA regularly. A few other things tested along the way were rhodiola and turmeric. I use simply sleep or unisom almost every night for sleep.

This got my general health going in the right direction then some amazing things happened. I decided to add things more aggressively.

Previously I was sensitive to anything and careful, and rejected many

products.

I needed to improve my muscles. Some days they were feeling strong and flexible

but often easily fatiqued and tense. I bought the Tonalin CLA and immediately

it was wonderful. I started loosing more weight and working my muscles more without

fatique and stress.

Going back to one I tried a long time ago but stopped because of cost and I was not feeling that bad, I tried NADH ( KAL brand ) again. It was like a rush of relief.

Feeling confident I added Fish Oil (Nature Made no burps) and Flax oil. Nothing significant

like the CLA or NADH but overall better with time.

Then I tested a few amino acids. Some made me ill with neuro effects,

even starting with a small dose. I'm less comfortable with these but one,

the L-Carnitine was amazing for my muscles, I take 500mg each morning.

I am walking with energy, knee and hip pain better, locked up spine is moving

freely, weight is coming off. I have not been this light for 20 years. Pains in chest

are gone, no lung congestion, muscles are supple and strong.

I'm talking about a condition from the age of 19 to 49, is licked.

Then I have added Rhodia (amazing ). I had some sore tendons from weight lifting

and fixed it with B6 in two days. Previously excercise injury would lay me up for a

week. I'm doing situps and cruches every day and move around a lot at work.

One the weekends I wear the rubberized pants and waist belt that helps work off

a few pounds per week while I cut grass, paint, etc.

I'm worried about interactions of all these products and will cut back some in

a more careful design to test if I need them. I'm not taking the NSAIDS anymore,

the first thing I was able to cut out.

I changed from DHEA to 7-keto, and then went to occasional DHEA along with

7-keto daily.

I expect I'll stay with the cranberry juice regimin, apple cider vinegar, oregano oil,

Fish and Flax oils, L-Carnitine, Organic Multi-Vitamin, Magnesium, NADH, CLA, Rhodiola, these are things I believe in the most. I'm staying with 7-keto or DHEA

for now. I'll increase NADH from 5 to 10 mg.

I also want to mention Turmeric and Oil Swishing which I use occasionally.

I believe the turmeric was instrumental at the beginning of the detoxification.

I'll work with other treatments as I learn and stabilize on this. I check many

sources for information for interactions or toxicity. My doctor has approved everything

but doesnt know about the CLA and L-Carnitine yet.

The cranberry juice with apple cider vinegar was the first thing I started

with lots of water since May, and using Turmeric at the beginning. My urine became dark and odorous, this was the beginning of the detoxification and digestion cure.

I was moving a lot of stuff out with stools and stomach was shrinking fast.

Subtle at first, I started having more better days. Neuro pain, stiffness, vision,

all improving over time. I now have times and days of euphoria that I haven't felt since 10 years old. Blood pressure was down 10 points and that was 10 lbs ago.

I started this process in May, it's been 5 months a work in progress.

I know there is a lot more to learn and do.

All products are top organic brands, usually from Wild Oats.

I always start with small doses, breaking the capsules. The full doses are not

necessarily for me. Unfortunately the stuff I like is the expensive products,

NADH is $25 per month.

Thanks for the reply, I started NAC this week, and L-lysine with

no adverse effects. The cleanse pill is readily available, yellow bottle

called super cleanse.

I've heard that CFS could be a type of metabolic or mitochondrial malfunction in cellular energy production, so by taking CoQ10 and L-Carnitine, you are helping your body compensate for the malfunction. Congrats on your dramatic improvement!

My Mom had a bad CFS flare a few years ago and found dietary modifications, nutritional supplements, anti-critter (viruses, parasites, etc.) herbs, and raw vegetable juice therapy to be helpful. She also knows when she is starting to flare to start her supplement regime again before it goes full-blown.

Take care,

thanks for the reply razzle.

I had some childhoold osteoarthritis predispostion, jammed

my neck at age 10, severly knocked out and revived with smelling

salts in football at age 14.

I'm now down 35 lbs at lowest, 30 lb average. Almost no

body fat left.

CFS patients also need to consider post concussion syndrome.

The changes can start well after the consussion to the point one doesnt

even connect it with the event. One does not have to be unconscious,

certainly repeated knocks are a risk, such as in sports. Whiplash is similar

and other forms of kneck injury.

I've read a few books on post concussion and they spell me to tee.

I haven't worked on many of the neurological issues yet but have found

in reading that L-carnitine, omega-3 are usefull. A few ideas I found

but have not tried yet are inositol, glycine.  I'm going to start workign with a natural

doctor, have met him once because I need supervision.

I know I cant tolerate

most of the substances that work on the brain such as ginko, 5-htp,

valerian. I found L-taurisine made my head uncomfortable and an anti-

convulsive that is used for neuro pain , given by my doctor, destroyed me

for several days. Many drugs inflame the fibromyalgia, such as when I

tried Zyban (welbutrin) for smoking.

When I feel fatique building, I've used 30mg of cymbalta. It will make

me profoundly tired for a short time and I nap, then I feel relaxed, sleep

well that night. My doctor yelled at me for using that way and said I

should use it every day. I cant tolerate it every day!

Since my last note I found that Natrol NADH does not work like KAL

brand, I prefer KAL.
