I don't have any advice as to what to say---just good luck---I hate mean Medical Staff---I mean, what the heck are ya' in the field for---if you can't be nice to people who are in pain, and have problems! Geez!

I guess---what are you calling them for? Maybe write out what you want to say beforehand---that helps me so I don't forget why I am calling/visiting-------:)

The simple answer to why they don't work is that pain medication effects each patient differently. What works for one, may not work or not work as well for another.
Good luck tomorrow.

Mama- where did you find the pain diary to download???? I just keep a little notebook, but it sounds like the thing you found might cover more bases.

The American Pain Foundation has a really good "pain notebook" that allows you to collect quite a bit of related information such as doctor's names, med lists, and even questions/concerns you wish to ask the doc about during a visit. The pain diary pages have an hourly graph and also the diagram most doctor's offices have you complete when you visit. I've pasted the link below. There is also a link for extra daily pain diary pages.
