I had it a year ago, really bad. A lung xray afterwords showed no more fluid in my lungs but I still cough some stuff up...no all the way up to my mouth but I can feel some loose stuff way down in my lungs that moves when I cough at times. No where like it was before of course. But will this ever go away? Breathing is just a tad "off" too.

Maybe you can ask your doctor for a pulmonary function test, it may show more reason why. Also, maybe it is something like a lingering bronchitis from the pneumonia. Not sure....what has your doctor said and done?

I had that test done before, though it was before I had the pneumonia. When I told him, he just said, 'well the xray showed that you were ok". So what, this phlegm is coming from space? I know I'm coughing up stuff; it must be from my lungs. It's not my throat. But like I said, it's not that much. I just don't want it to turn into something more...
