I'm new to this site, but I'm hoping I might be able to get some help here. For a long while now, I've had this pain in my right side that only appears when I have to urinate. It doesn't bother me when I'm awake, because I am able to go to the bathroom as soon as I feel the need. At night, though, I regularly find myself waking up because of this pain in my side. It is always sharp, always in the same spot, and bad enough at least to wake a person up from sleep. Since it only appears on one side, it seems like something might be wrong, but the pain always goes away within about a half an hour of me going to the bathroom after I wake up. I'm not sure why I haven't gone to the doctor, but like I said, it always goes away after I go to the bathroom. When I wake up because of it, though, it is painful to move or even breathe until I've gone to the bathroom. There is no pain when I actually go to the bathroom, it is all centered in my side. I don't know what the cause of this pain might be, though obviously it has something to do with me going to the bathroom. Any advice you can give me regarding this would be greatly appreciated.
